Please wash in COLD water and tumble dry on LOW setting. Do not wash in a machine with an agitator, (agitators are in some top loading washing machines and can damage laundry). And please NEVER USE BLEACH.
It’s important to keep your child’s mattress clean. We recommend washing your mattress at least every three months.
No, we do not recommend covering your Washabelle with a plastic mattress cover, because they can cause hot and poor sleeping patterns in children.
First, it must be a washer without an agitator. The Washabelle mattress has a modular construction with zip out components. Each component fits into a standard washer and dryer. So you can wash them in your own home in about the time it takes to wash and dry your sheets. Each component should be washed separately.
No. It’s been constructed to come out of the washer dryer ready to go right back to bed. No ironing or air-drying is needed.
Your Washabelle mattress does not require special laundry detergent. Use your favorite.
Yes, you can air dry your Washabelle mattress. However, it’s designed to withstand the rigors of machine drying.

You can expect an excellent Washabelle mattress to last at least 10 years, making it one of the most important purchases in furnishing a child's bedroom. Washabelle offers a 10-year limited warranty and an unprecedented component replacement warranty.

Your mattress cover is quilted with a fluffy, chemical free, non-toxic, breathable, non-allergenic batting that is inherently fire-resistant. That means it contains no chemical fire retardants.
No, Washabelle uses neither chemical fire retardants or formaldehyde.
Yes, in fact, the foam in your Washabelle mattress carries the CertiPUR-US seal. When you buy products that carry the CertiPUR-US® seal, you can be confident that the polyurethane foam has been rigorously tested by an accredited laboratory to meet specific criteria for content, emissions and durability. Certified foams are made without ozone depleters, mercury, lead, and heavy metals, formaldehyde, phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants. The foams are also tested to be low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emissions for indoor air quality (less than 0.5 parts per million).

Washabelle support falls somewhere between plush and firm, so it’s a versatile choice for back, side, and stomach sleepers weighing between 25-110 lbs.

Plush-firm mattresses are an excellent choice for children because they have a good mixture of support for growing bodies, and padding for comfortable sleep in any position.

It’s important to choose the right amount of support and the right amount of padding in your child’s mattress. The comfort of the mattress is directly related to the ease with which a child can fall into deep sleep, improving their health, memory, and concentration abilities. Growing bones need good support, as well.
Washabelle has three layers of foam.
The top two 1.5” layers of washable memory foam boasts a density of 3.0 pounds.
The bottom 6” layer of conventional foam boasts a density of 1.8 pounds.
The Washabelle mattress is designed to keep your child dry, cool, and comfortable—with layers designed to breathe and absorb moisture from your child’s body while they sleep.

Washabelle mattresses are designed and tailored to stand alone without sheets. You can set one on a day bed without sheets waiting for guests and sleepovers.
